Stories with pictures

Some of worked with Mrs Howard today and created some super awesome stories using pictures instead of words!  Mrs McGregor was so proud of both our amazing writing and how clever we were to put come pictures where words should be. Room 1 is just full of surprises and amazing skills :)

Lest We Forget

Saturday was Anzac Day and we celebrated those who fought and died for us in the wars at a school service on Tuesday. We also created some beautiful poppies to be a reminder in our classroom! 

Welcome back to Term 2!

Hello and welcome back to Term 2!!  I am very excited to be back and trust you all had a lovely relaxing holiday :)

A couple of notes for this term:

• Library is on a Monday.  Please ensure your child has their library book from the previous week in their book bag every Monday as this will ensure that they can get a new and exciting book.
• Poetry books will go home on a Friday with our weekly poem.  Please read this poem with your child as their weekend reading and send the book back every Monday.  
• Book bags are required to come to school everyday as this is where they keep their readers and books and it helps to keep school books safe.  Please check your child's book bag every evening as this is the easiest way for the school to communicate notices to you.
• Pinehill readers are sent home Monday - Thursday.  Please read their reader with them every night as this helps significantly with their reading progress.
• Our brand new website is now up and running.  This will have a calendar with all school events on as well as any important notices.  It is a great place for you to refer to :)

We have a very busy and fun term ahead so please continue to follow our learning journey :)
